The Child Citizenship Act of 2000 Fact Sheet
The law, Public Law 106-395, amends the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to permit foreign-born children-including adopted children - to acquire citizenship automatically if they meet certain requirements. It became effective on February 27, 2001.

International adoption medical clinics are great resources for international medical and health, especially if your adopted child has an ailment that is uncommon, not easily diagnosed or difficult to treat. International adoption medical clinics also provide advice on pre-adoption evaluations, immunizations and post adoption medical examinations.

Families for International Adoptions
Families for International Adoptions (F.F.I.C.) is a parent group located in the Grand Rapids area. Organized in 1979, it's goal is to provide information and support to those contemplating international adoption and those who have adopted internationally. Joint Council on International Children's Services
Joint Council on International Children's Services is one of the oldest and largest affiliation of licensed, non-profit international adoption organizations in the world.
