The Child Citizenship Act of 2000 Fact Sheet
The law, Public Law 106-395, amends the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to permit foreign-born children-including adopted children - to acquire citizenship automatically if they meet certain requirements. It became effective on February 27, 2001.

Families for International Adoptions
Families for International Adoptions (F.F.I.C.) is a parent group located in the Grand Rapids area. Organized in 1979, it's goal is to provide information and support to those contemplating international adoption and those who have adopted internationally. Their website provides links to services available in the western Michigan area as well as links to other international adoption resources.
